このサイトマップってのはGoogleが勝手に作ったものなので、今まではMicrosoftやYahooとは全く関係なかったんですが、それがみんな同じプロトコル（共通文法）のサイトマップを使用しますよ。って事になったわけで、これはSEO（検索エンジン最適化）的にも大助かりです。

このblogは勝手にサイトマップを作ってくれるWordpressのpluiginGoogle Sitemap Generator for WordPress v2 Finalを使っていて、そのおかげがこんなマイナーblogにもGoogle検索からのアクセスは多いんですが、YahooやMicrosoft（MSN）からのアクセスは少ないです。

下の画像はこのblogの検索サイト別のアクセス率。

7割Googleて、どうよ。同じサイトマッププロトコル採用の効果で、yahooやmsnからのアクセスが増えるといいなと思います。

あと、このサイトマッププロトコルはCC（クリエイテイブコモンズ）ライセンスで、商用にも他の検索エンジンが使用可。
